Let’s stop the slaughtering of poor marine animals before there’s none left to save

The website change.org is a place where you can write a petition for anything, anyone and any cause. They can range from asking for a small amount of signatures  to send to your school Principal for new cafeteria food to asking the government for protection of any specific rights and religion. I currently have a petition to ban factory farming in California with over 50,000 signatures. I recommend change.org to everyone!!

I did not write any of the information below i got it from the website change.org

Let’s stop the slaughtering of poor marine animals before there’s none left to save

Genesis Acevedo New York, NY

The issue that is being address in this petition is the mass slaughtering of dolphins and small whales in the cove of Japan (Taiji) during hunting season. These animals are chased down into the harbor for fishermen can slaughter or capture these poor animals. If they do not slaughter these dolphins in that moment then they starve them until they are ready to be killed. In addition, if they do not kill them at all then the result is just capturing them in order to sell them off to marine parks and make a profit. Fishermen focus on selecting dolphins and selling them into captivity. About 111 dolphins are held captive and dead/released dolphins do not count as part of the Japan Fisheries Agency Quotas. In result, these innocent marine animals are not being protected under these poor regulations. Its very important because these poor animals are suffering in the hands of selfish people.
They do not deserve any type of abuse for our entertainment nor to make a profit. I am petitioning the Japanese government more specially the cove in Taij where the dolphin slaughter takes place and the Fisheries Agency. It is wrong to slaughter these poor animals for our own selfish reasons. They just use these poor animals for profit and to sell into multiple marine parks in Japan and overseas. They chase them down into the cove and brutally slaughter these animals for their own selfish gain. Not only are they hurting these animals but they are also destroying our environment by eliminating the amount of marine animals in the ocean by a mass margin.
I am specifically asking the Japanese government and the Fisheries Agency to set more quotas and regulations in order to stop the slaughtering and selling of these marine animals. Their quotas are not being regulated nor are they protecting these poor innocent animals. Their quotas is just a big joke when it comes to the survival and protection for these many small whales and dolphins. I am asking them to ban and stop seasonal hunting completely. Furthermore, I am asking them to stop using these animals for profit and just let them live their lives in peace. #Leavethedolphinsalone #nomorebloodocean #letthedolphinslive #survival
