Hey Teens! Get Paid, Work Election Day!

Hey Teens! The California Primary is coming up on June 5th! If you are over 16 are you registered to vote? And if you are 18 make sure your registered so you can vote! The final day to register for this upcoming election was May 21st but the clerk can accommodate people to register if you are a New Citizen (sworn in after May 21, 2018) Voter Registration Period.

Are you aware of who your candidates running for these positions are? There are a LOT! Be sure to look up each candidate you are interested in voting for and find the pros and cons of that person.

I have great news! YOU can get paid to work on the day of the election! In fact, $140! All you have to do is take a look at this brochure, ask your school for an application or email the county clerk and ask for one! You get $40 attending a training session and $100 working the polls from 6:00 am to 9:30 pm! Take a look below for more important information.

For many people June 5th is the last day of school, for me its the day before my High School Graduation! But working at the Election Booth will truly be a rememberable experience!

I am a 17-year-old activist/arts advocate and have been participating in marches, protests and petitions since I was 5 years old. I serve on Mayor Garcetti's Youth Council for South LA. And have generated a petition to ban factory farming in California with over 55,000 signatures. I organize community events and get teens like me connected with social justice issues and activism all over LA.
